I have tried at various times to capture an “OOTD” but can never seem to get it right. Regardless, I am going to share this vintage dress (a favourite!!) — created by Jewett, Inc of Rochester, NY — this black wool and satin dress is lovely. Isn’t the bow just darling?! Even the stiff ruffled, satin collar is so flattering…

I thought I’d take Anthology’s advice: “Eat, drink, & be merry!” (Not that I ever need an excuse to cook and eat!) After finding the most fresh & delicious looking black mission figs, I made fig-ricotta-caramelized onion pizzas & romaine-endive-radicchio salad for dinner. Just a simple dressing tonight — sweet white wine vinegar and extra virgin olive oil! For dessert? Homemade coconut-flavoured frozen yogurt topped with dark chocolate sauce, Navan-laced whipped cream and toasted coconut…
I want to live in this video’s vibe — Vampire Weekend gets better & better! Not only does NYC look great, but it totally reminds me of some of Woody Allen’s films…or maybe some 1970s cinema…
Clever is beautiful — who needs half-dressed to sell music??
While sifting through piles of saved papers (parents are cleaning house and sent all my junk to me), I came across a magazine spread that I’d kept from my teen years— navy, white, stripes, nautical, retro, Gatsby inspired style — I was in love! With the Baz Luhrmann version of The Great Gatsby poised for release, I thought it might be a good time to share this low-key, less glitzy version. Incidentally, this spread came out of Sassy — too bad I didn’t actually keep the magazines…sometimes I could just kick myself!
